The full terms of our text messaging program, including how to opt in, how to opt out, and what it costs.
About the program
Scout Cleaning LLC operates a text messaging program for customers and prospective customers on the Seattle Eastside. We use it to deliver quotes, confirm appointments, send arrival windows, and answer questions about scheduled cleanings.
How you opt in
You join the program by checking the SMS consent box on our quote form at scouthousecleaning.com/quote/. The box is never pre-checked. The exact language you agree to is:
“I agree to receive text messages from Scout Cleaning about my quote and appointments. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Consent is not a condition of purchase.”
We record the date, time, page, and version of that language with your consent. You may also opt in by texting us first or by giving express written consent in another documented way.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies. How many messages you receive depends on your quote activity and how often we clean your home. A typical recurring customer receives a small number of messages per scheduled visit.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Scout Cleaning does not charge for text messages, but your mobile carrier may charge you for messages sent or received depending on your plan. Contact your carrier for details.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time. You will receive a single confirmation message and then no further texts from us. You can also email hello@scouthousecleaning.com to be removed. Opting out of text messages does not cancel your cleaning service — we will simply reach you by email instead.
To rejoin later, reply START or submit a new quote request with the consent box checked.
How to get help
Reply HELP to any message for help, or email hello@scouthousecleaning.com. We respond to support requests within one business day.
Consent is not a condition of purchase
You are never required to agree to receive text messages in order to buy anything from us. If you would rather not be texted, leave the box unchecked and submit your quote request anyway, or email us directly. You will receive the same price and the same service.
Supported carriers
The program is available on major US carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and their affiliated brands. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is not guaranteed, and service may not be available on every carrier or in every area.
Privacy
Phone numbers collected for this program are used only to send the messages described above. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Sharing with subcontractors that provide support services, such as our messaging platform, is permitted solely to deliver the messages you requested. See our Privacy Policy for the complete picture.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and the account holder — or have the account holder’s permission — for the mobile number you provide. Please notify us if your number changes so we do not message someone who did not consent.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above and, where required, communicated to you directly before they take effect.
